On October, 13th 2011 NPO Saturn hosted a working session of the Problem-solving committee ¹8À administered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on the subject: “Different approaches and work results to improving the efficiency of the production system using Lean tools by the companies acting as suppliers of aerospace-related products”.
The representatives of Sukhoi Company, NAZ Sokol, VASO, Helicopters of Russia and MC ODK took part in exchanging hands-on experience acquired through implementation of Lean projects. At the beginning of the session a ceremony of bestowing the title “Green Belt” and “Black Belt” of Lean manufacturing to the NPO Saturn production development department team took place. The associated certificates were awarded by Ilya Fedrov, NPO Saturn CEO.
