November 20, 2019, Rybinsk. – Saturn's specialists received the training for the "Flight safety management system for aeronautical equipment design and production organizations" program at PJSC UEC-Saturn's training center on November 18-19, 2019. Availability of flight safety management system at the enterprise is a requirement of new Federal Aviation Regulations entering into force on December 12, 2019. The training program was attended by 20 company representatives reported to Quality Director, Deputy General Director on GTE programs for civil and transport aviation, General Designer, SaM146 Program Director.

, PJSC UEC-Saturn’s Quality Director, Federal Aviation Regulations "Certification of aeronautical equipment design and production organizations. Part 21 (FAR- 21)" were approved by a Decree of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation # 184 dated 17.06.2019. The "Flight safety management system for aeronautical equipment design and production organizations" training was held for members of a working group in order to implement these regulations and new requirements, enabling PJSC UEC-Saturn to develop and produce civil aircraft engines. Based on FAR-21 requirements, we have to implement flight safety management system at the enterprise, develop flight safety policy, define objectives and develop flight safety management system manual, update and develop some procedures, set up the system in general as to complete production certification by Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) subject to the new requirements.
The training was held by employees of the "Aviator" Training Center" (Moscow), who prepared a training course applicable to the enterprise specialization for PJSC UEC-Saturn. The introductory survey contains data about principles, notions and scope of application for flight safety management system. "We proposed to PJSC UEC-Saturn the introductory course on flight safety management system meant for design organizations and aeronautical equipment producers to PJSC UEC-Saturn". The importance of this training course is substantiated by the new federal aviation regulations (FAR-21) that have included a definite requirement for design and production organizations to have flight safety management system in place
