February 10, 2014, Rybinsk. - The principles of setting up a production system to manage the companies within the Civil Engines Division (CED) were reviewed during a planned meeting of its senior management taking place in Moscow under the chairmanship of UEC deputy chief executive officer, NPO Saturn chief executive officer, CED chairman Ilya Fedorov with the participation of PMZ chief executive officer, CED deputy chairman Sergey Popov, UEC deputy chief executive officer Sergey Pavlinich, UEC director of program-project management - head of UEC program-project management department Alexander Neznamov and other members of the board.
Following the meeting results, the parties agreed to adopt as the baseline the proposed model of a production system enabling to manage the division’s companies. In order to be well prepared for the deployment of the planned project and obtain fundamental knowledge of the methodology, a series of lectures on “Introduction to supply chain management” will take place at PMZ. Using its own experience, NPO Saturn will introduce the division’s employees to conducting a preparation of an industrial-commercial plan (also known as PIC).
During the CED session, another resolution was adopted which is to run an audit of the CED companies in accordance with the requirements of International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) whereby the obtained results would help streamline the proposed plan of introducing a production model for managing the CED companies. It was decided to consider an option to administer the CED companies audit in the frame of the technical re-equipment and production collaboration development program.
