Site news 26.04.2013April, 26th 2013, Rybinsk. – On 26 April the world celebrates the International Day of Intellectual Property, a holiday established by the General Assembly of the World intellectual property organization in September 2000 as homage to the innovators and authors whose creativity and inventive spirit are used for the benefit of the human race.
In 2013 NPO Saturn welcomes the International Day of Intellectual Property while possessing 700 objects of intellectual property and having the value of intangible assets worth around 2 billion rubles.
The NPO Saturn intellectual property management system is established and has been developing for over eleven years; it has now evolved as a sphere of competence and managerial leverage exercised by deputy CEO for corporate governance and legal matters through a dedicated department dealing specifically with the intellectual property.
The company’s experience in the field of intellectual property management has been recognized by the awards issued by the World intellectual property organization, the awards of the Governor of Yaroslavl region and is in demand at the level of the Rostekhnologii state corporation.
It is not by chance that the following letter of appreciation addressed to Ilya Federov, NPO Saturn CEO and to the company’s inventors and engineers specialized in working with the intellectual property was received from Rostekhnologii:
“In October 2012 the Rostekhnologii state corporation established a board of experts on the issues of intellectual property under the Commission on investments, innovations and modernization with the goal to facilitate the creation of intellectual property rights management systems, their commercialization and earning a profit for the holding’s companies. The positive experience demonstrated by NPO Saturn in the filed of managing its intellectual property is used by us in elaborating recommendations for the other companies within the Corporation.
We wish your company’s employees involved in creating and managing the intellectual property a lot of success in their creative and professional work for the benefit of the innovative development of NPO Saturn as well as the entire Russian machine-building industry!”
At this stage of NPO Saturn’s development, capitalizing on the already secured intellectual property and developing further its intellectual property management techniques must ensure identification and formalization of the company’s competences which will ultimately allow Saturn to maintain its high status in the professional environment and on the dedicated markets of high-tech products.
