The “Russian industrial elite – 100 best industrial managers” rating is carried out by the “Production management” business portal. The main objective of the rating is to identify the most successful managers who have contributed considerably to the development of the companies they head as well as to the development of the industry and to the country’s economy.
The rating methodology is based on the principle “the best vote for the best”. Over 500 renowned managers representing well-known companies acted as experts having expressed their opinions with regard to who, according to them, deserves to be considered the best industrial managers in Russia. As far as the companies represented by these managers are concerned, such criteria as the deployment of breakthrough technologies, systemic work in the field of the quality management system, continuous improvement of the production system and modernization processes were taken into account.
Each expert was requested to nominate 10 most appropriate candidates who would be entered in the preliminary list. 100 candidates having received the highest scores have ultimately constituted the final list of the 100 best Russian industrial managers. The TOP 10 list included those who received the maximum number of votes: Yuri Klochkov (KAMAZ), Sergey Obozov (Rosatom), Mikhail Pogosyan (UAC), Oleg Deripaska (RUSAL), Alexey Mordashov (Severstal, Severstal Group), Ravil Zaripov (minister of industry and commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan), Valentin Gapanovich (RZhD), Alexander Moiseev (GAZ Group), Ilya Fedorov (NPO Saturn), Oleg Menshikov (Tikhvin carriage works).
On the list of the 100 strongest managers of the Russian industrial sector is another NPO Saturn top manager – Ilya Pautov, deputy CEO for production system development.
