A working meeting took place between the governor of Yaroslavl region Sergey Vakhrukov and the chief executive officer of NPO Saturn Ilya Fedorov.

On April, 16th 2012 at the City Hall of Yaroslavl region a working meeting between Sergey Vakhrukov, governor of Yaroslavl region and Ilya Fedorov, NPO chief executive officer took place.
Sergey Vakhrukov and Ilya Fedorov reviewed the results demonstrated by NPO Saturn in the first quarter of 2012 and were content to state the stable performance in terms of meeting the set economic and quality indicators which confirms stable operation of the company’s production system.
The continuous funding of purchasing the raw materials necessary for launching specific productions in advance while meeting the company’s current needs allows to speak with certainty of the continued gradual production with the focus on achieving a 30% production capacity ramp-up in 2012 compared to what was demonstrated in 2011.
The governor highly appreciated the successful start of carrying out the state order in the interest of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation and once again studied in detail the realization of the SaM146 engine project. The governor acknowledged his satisfaction with the fact that in March 2012 for the first time in the program history the company had delivered 4 engines within a month; NPO Saturn is ready to capitalize on this success down the road and continue increasing the volume of serially produced engines in order to always meet the expectations of its customer – Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company CJSC.
Sergey Vakhrukov congratulated Ilya Fedorov and the entire NPO Saturn team with the important event taking place on April, 12th 2012 on the International Day of Aviation and Space Engineering, - the award of the Production Approval Organization certificate authorizing serial production of the SaM146 engine at NPO Saturn granted by the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). According to Sergey Vakhrukov, ‘for the first time, in the county of Yaroslavl, the engine builders from Saturn have been able to create the production in full compliance with all the international and domestic airworthiness regulations, which is undoubtedly, a great achievement’.
