At present NPO Saturn places strong emphasis on implementing in the company the principles of program-project management carrying out the necessary transformations of its infrastructure and the business processes while pursuing the ultimate goal of boosting its operating performance. The formation, widespread occurrence and practical application of collective and individual competences in the field of program-project management in the best interest of business development become inevitable for the effectiveness of the ongoing transformations. The project manager and the project team emerge as the main driving force behind the implementation of change, novelty and innovation.
In the context of practicing the new approaches, one of the most significant projects in 2011 is the creation of SatIZ. This effort has materialized due to the diligent work of the SatIZ staff led by its general manager Alexander Treshkin.
The chair of the board of directors of SatIZ, deputy chief executive officer of NPO Saturn for strategy and innovation development Marina Kustova congratulated the first general manager of SatIZ acknowledging his high level of managerial effectiveness and calling Alexander Treshkin ‘the trailblazer capable to lead the team in the challenging conditions of formation, during the stage when the tooling plant transitions into an independent business unit as a direct subsidiary of NPO Saturn’.
Alexander Kurenkov, has been elected the new general manager of SatIZ to continue solving the tasks posed to the SatIZ team during the next stage of its operation. Prior to becoming general manager of SatIZ, Alexander Kurenkov had the title of deputy chief engineer of NPO Saturn. Alexander Treshkin will continue his involvement with SatIZ as the company’s director of operations.
