Site news 10.06.2011June, 10 2011, Rybinsk. – The solemn ceremony of presenting government awards of the Russian Federation and awards of Yaroslavl Region was held today in Yaroslavl at the hall of Yaroslavl fine arts museum with the participation of the governor of Yaroslavl Region Sergey Vakhrukov.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 5 April 2011 ¹405 “Regarding government awards of the Russian Federation” for a great contribution to the development of the defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation and many years of honorable work, a medal of the order “For the State-recognized merits” of II degree was awarded to a NPO Saturn chief specialist Vladimir Vasilyevich Ptitsyn.
Vladimir Ptitsyn works at NPO Saturn since 1975. He is in charge of design, development and in-service support of combustion chambers for gas-turbine engines. From 1985 he is actively involved in inventive and process improvement activities; he holds 11 authorship certificates and 14 Russian Federation patents, 10 of which have been successfully implemented in the combustion chambers of the engines designed by NPO Saturn. The most significant of his technical solutions deal with increasing the engine application properties such as improvement of on-ground and high-altitude engine ignition, increase of combustion efficiency, reduction of pollutant emission, product life extension and have an industry-wide importance.
